Guitarfest Although this may come as a surprise to you all, your emails do actually get read (oh the humanity). After the recent offering of one of Mark Clayden's basses, it seems there is a hunger for Pitchshifter guitars too. In an attempt to keep some of you ravenous maniacs happy (like that's ever really going to happen?), we have begged the band to cough up some of their axes.
At this time the band have promised to deliver a Maverick Guitarscustom Pitchshifter Eye Guitar (only 2 ever made before the company closed its doors some years ago) and an Ibanez RG. The Ibanez, signed by the band, hails from the Genius era, and we are told it toured the World (over 15 countries) and made a few video and TV appearances on its way.
We will post pictures and full specifications for the guitars, along with a silent auction soon. Keep it here!
X fest X'ed The X Fest has been, well, X'ed. Pitchshifter received word today that the X Fest is being cancelled by the promoters.
Although this decision has nothing to do with Pitchshifter, or any of the other bands on the multi-day line up, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Says 'Shifter frontman J.S.:"We received official notice by fax today that the event will no longer be happening. The band are bummed that we can't round out the year with a kick ass gig on home ground, but wish all of our fans a happy and safe Christmas."
At this time there are no new live dates for Pitchshifter scheduled. Sorry guys!
Mark Clayden's Basses Pitchshifter's bass guru, Mark Clayden, is selling a couple of the basses he has made famous with his signature detuned growl. Although he tried to sneak this by us at Pitchshifter Central by placing them on eBay without telling us - of course, we found out. By request, here's the url if you want to get bidding.

Freaks! Pitchshifter would like to thank every fan that came to the recent UK shows at London and Nottingham. Says J.S.:
"We had a truly amazing time on stage yet again, albeit to short. We'd like to give our personal thanks to each and every one of you. You have no idea how much it means to us to see you guys going nuts in the pit. Peace to you all!"
It seems the guys from Rock Freaks.net caught the same vibe. Check out their review here.
